The Bride to Karloff’s Frankenstein, and so much more.
It’s too easy for stories to disappear in this digital age, consuming images and icons without context or having an appreciation for the whole story.
These written accounts are invaluable, giving insight into a different time and place, and allowing us a glimpse into another persons life.
Elsa Lanchester was a fascinating woman, and her story is a rich one which deserves to be told in her own words.
Currently a Social Media campaign is underway petitioning for Elsa’s autobiography (titled Elsa Lanchester, Herself) to be reprinted.
Writer, performer and producer Tom Blunt is the organizing force behind the campaign appealing to the Motion Picture & Television Fund, who currently control Lanchester’s estate, for the reprint of her book.
If you’d like to see Elsa Lanchester’s autobiography republished, you can take part in this campaign in several ways:
- Tweet at MPTF on Twitter (please use #ReprintElsa hashtag)
- Join the “Reprint Elsa” Facebook Group
- Reach out to MPTF to republish Elsa’s memoir –
